AUTHOR'S NOTE To me, this is a mainstream novel, even though it has some lesbian characters in it. The story is not about orientation. It's about people who are dealing with extraordinarily difficult ethical dilemmas. It's about revenge. It's about the weaknesses in the justice system. It's about human nature.
This book also contains graphic scenes of sexual violence. It is not for the faint-of-heart. I am faint-of-heart myself, so it was a difficult book to write, but I felt it was important in order to tell the story that needed to be told. But be aware, dear reader, this book does not blink.
In Colorado Springs, Margo Benning owns a thriving gym; her source of independence and pride. One violent event is all it takes to reveal how powerless she really is. Reporting the crime against her will lead to the inevitable legal machinations, and likely result in her attacker going free.
Unwilling to let the monster get away with his crime, she decides to seek justice on her own, copycatting a recent vigilante to deflect suspicion. But how is Margo to keep her covert deeds from her girlfriend and best friend, when they are both police detectives?
Omega Fisher appreciates the synchronicity of her name. Her surname conjures the biblical phrase "fisher of men," and in Greek, her first name means the end. She is, indeed, fishing for a few men, and she does, indeed, intend to END them. Meg wonders if there is some meaning in this correlation, or if it is just another random alignment in a universe full of random alignments.
Ultimately, it hardly matters. She is who she is, and she is going to do what she is going to do.
Fish for them. End them.

Revenge IS a dish best served cold. Yet, that's not entirely what this book is about. This story follows 2 women who have been raped and defiled by some pretty bad men. These women decide to fight back instead of folding in and giving up on justice. What makes this story different than a run of the mill vigilante story is the debate and introspect the characters acknowledge throughout the story about what happened to them and what their options of justice might be. You may find yourself siding with one opinion to suddenly change your mind the next page. It was an intellectual challenge I wasn't expecting, and I'm still mulling over it hours later after finishing the story. For those of you with a squeamish side to violence this story isn't for you, and you are warned about the heavy subject content in advance by the author, and now me. It's a story that needs to be told, because unfortunately, it is all too true. What would you do if you were one of these women? Read on then, and decide for yourself.Product details

Wow, wow, and wow! I started reading this engaging book late in the day and I just could not put it down. Finally, needing to get some sleep I finished the story the next day with the dramatic conclusion. In the introduction to the book the author tells us that she originally wrote this story as a screenplay. I'll freely admit that I'd pay good money to see this played out on the silver screen. The book combines elements of justice versus the law, revenge, compassion , and delves into the choices people must make when they are violated. The author did a great job of showing different viewpoints of how certain characters would handle the situation. You must read this book now!
Loved this book and I hope kelli makes this into another one of her awesome series.....Well done justice was definitely served!!!
Absolutely FANTASTIC ! Once I started reading it was very hard to put it down, you could relate to the characters and it was nice to see justice done right. I highly recommend this book. I truly hope there is a sequel Kelli !

Revenge, sweet and tasty, and a savory treat made sweeter because a woman is doing it for the horrid wounds inflicted. This one sucked me in and kept me reading late into the night. I am still picking my mouth up from the floor on how it ended, did not see it coming. Wow!! A sequel would be greatly appreciated, Kelli.
Kelli Jae Baeli has written a nightmarish tale that needed to be told. It is graphic and compassionate at the same time. The subject of law vs justice can be provocative, but Jae has done a masterful job in drawing out the conflict inherent both in the subjects of violence against women and duty vs compassion.The ending will rock you.
